Shade is not an intentional rip off of Ken Pender's character of Julie Su, she is original and was INSPIRED by Julie Su. In fact, she could fill the role of Knuckles' gilrfriend instead of Rouge just as Julie Su filled the role of Archie Knuckles' girlfriend.
Imagine if one of us actually had the rights to Shade. We could save her from her undeserved fate by the hands of Penders!
